Release Notes for Condres OS 2019.06



Today we are proud to release Condres OS 2019.06 with the flavours KDE, GNOME, Cinnamon, MATE, XFCE, and Condres Control Center. They are enhanced with some useful packages and scripts and a custom patched version of desktop and filesystem.

KDE Plasma stands at version 5.15.5, while GNOME comes in at 3.32
and Xfce at 4.13.4, while Cinnamon comes in at 4.0 and MATE at 1.22.1.


This release comes with the name "19.06".




In this version there are so many new features. We complete from the control center of Condres OS, completely redesigned and supports samba and nfs for folder sharing without manually editing anything. User modules, language and date and time have been added. Furthermore, from the next release the support for the installation of windows software will be implemented by connecting directly to the Wine database. Some scripts are already available in the wine prefix ready for the installation of the programs desired and supported by the project.







We have updated the graphics of the entire system, starting with the grub, plymouth bootloader and all the wallpapers. But not only that, given the dense graphics, the theme of all desktops has been updated, much cleaner and graphically fits perfectly with the new backgrounds. The theme used and Qogir by Vinceliuice.


Plasma desktop now uses the kvantum themes engine. In fact for those who would like to have the same theme without creating a new account just follow the following procedure:


open terminal (no root user)

cp -rv /etc/skel/.config/kdeglobals ~/.config/


Close the session and come back in and you will have the new theme, much lighter and above all flat.




The artwork includes custom icon themes for light and dark themes. Breath and Breath Dark both create a complete unified look from boot-up all the way through logout. (PLASMA)







Mate, Gnome, Cinnamon and XFCE have the new Qogir theme. In fact, as you can see from the screens, it is much cleaner than the previous theme.

After two years of working with Apricity OS, it was decided to revive it as it was born, releasing an iso image with the user experience created at the time by the Apricity OS team. We are pleased to present Apricity Relives. It was done because there are many users who wish to have an experience equal to the original system, and being the real fork we did it.
The iso image is called condres_os-19.06-gnome-apricity-relives.iso

From today it is possible to create the iso images of our operating system with the tool available directly in our repo. It is the fork of Suse Image Writer. Here is the screen:

Known issues:

• Installing on RAID is currently not possible

To create reliable installation media, please follow the instructions from the Download page. Condres OS ISO's do not support Unetbootin or Rufus, and DVDs need a burn speed no higher than 4x.
